Hauki Design is a wife-and-husband team, trained in graphic design and illustration. Our move to the Isle of Skye inspired us to drop the office tools and start creating beautiful things.
From illustrated tea towels to limited-edition prints, each piece is shaped by wild landscapes, shifting light, and the changing seasons of the island we call home.
Our Story in 7 Seconds
We moved to Skye, slowed down, and started creating beautiful things.
Our Story in 90 Seconds
After many years working in design, we found ourselves drawn to a slower, more hands-on way of creating. Surrounded by sea, mountains and ever-changing skies, we began turning our sketches, observations and favourite places into thoughtfully made products that celebrate the character of Skye.
Our first collection grew from a simple idea: to create a playful illustrated map of the island. Rather than focusing on perfect accuracy, we wanted to capture the places that make Skye special to us — the winding roads, hidden corners, favourite walks, dramatic coastlines and landmarks that draw people back time and time again.
Today, our collection includes tea towels, greeting cards, posters and limited-edition prints, all designed from our studio in Glendale on the north-west coast of Skye.
We believe everyday objects can be beautiful. A tea towel can be framed, a greeting card can become a keepsake, and a print can be a lasting reminder of a memorable trip. Our aim is to create pieces that are thoughtful, useful and full of character.
Wherever possible, our products are responsibly made in the UK using high-quality materials and environmentally conscious print processes.
We're especially fond of risograph printing — an eco-friendly process that produces wonderfully vibrant colours and rich textures. Because each colour is printed separately, no two prints are ever exactly alike. Those tiny variations are part of the charm, giving every print its own unique character.
Whether you've discovered our work while visiting Skye or from further afield, thank you for stopping by. We hope our designs bring a little joy, colour and a lasting connection to this remarkable island.
When we're not designing or helping out locally, you'll usually find us exploring the island with a sketchbook or camera in hand, hunting for inspiration, or arguing about which part of Skye has the best view. (For the record, it's Glendale.)
Our online shop isn’t live just yet, but if something catches your eye, feel free to get in touch — we’re happy to send a secure payment link for any pieces you’d like to order.
We’re also always open to commissions, collaborations, or interesting ideas.
